New Frontier Publishing to Partner with WWT (The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust)

January 27th, 2022

Children’s publishing house, New Frontier Publishing, are delighted to announce that they have partnered with WWT, the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, bringing out a brand-new series of four interactive children’s board books called Seasons & Sounds. The first two, Listen to Autumn and Listen to Winter, will be published in September and November 2022, with Spring and Summer coming out the following year.

World rights were acquired by Sophia Whitfield at New Frontier Publishing from Melanie O’Donoghue at WWT.

‘We are thrilled to be publishing Seasons & Sounds in partnership with the WWT. Nature has been such a support to families over the last two years. The benefits it has provided us during these challenging times is going to stay with us forever. The WWT’s amazing work inspires an appreciation and passion for the great outdoors,’ said Sophia Whitfield, Publishing Director of New Frontier Publishing.

Seasons & Sounds celebrates nature, exploring all the wonderful and unique sounds special to each season. The series especially captures the ability of children to find joy and wonder in all seasons. Each spread has a button which plays exceptional quality nature sounds, and the pages are filled with bright and exciting illustrations from talented illustrator Morena Forza. In the rhyming text, readers are encouraged to say the onomatopoeic words, as well as pressing the buttons for the sounds. With lots to spot and look at on every page, babies and toddlers will be captivated by this charming series.

Commenting on the deal, the WWT said, ‘We are incredibly excited to be partnering with New Frontier to bring the sounds of the seasons to our supporters and the wider audience through these beautifully written and illustrated books, with a contribution from every sale going towards supporting our vital conservation work.’

Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust is the UK’s leading wetland conservation charity, working towards conserving, restoring, and creating wetlands and more. The trust welcomes one million visitors every year, hoping to inspire many. With over seven decades of experience, WWT are working hard to ensure wetlands are put centre stage.
